This month, something noteworthy greets visitors in front of our head office in Jakarta. Alongside the warm smiles of our security guard and receptionist colleagues, a striking banner celebrating National Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Month sets the tone for what lies at the heart of OCS Indonesia, that is our unwavering commitment to HSE values.<\/p>\n

At OCS Indonesia, celebrating HSE isn\u2019t just a formality. It\u2019s woven into our culture, shaping how we operate and reinforcing our compliance within the facilities management industry. To explore the significance of HSE in our organisation, we spoke with Dian Pratiwi, our Country QHSE Manager who offered insight into the efforts and collaborations driving our focus on health, safety, and the environment.<\/p>\n

With over 13,000 colleagues working nationwide, ensuring safety and well-being is not just a corporate responsibility but also a shared commitment.<\/p>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

\n \u201cIt starts with ourselves. When someone is mindful of their own safety, they naturally influence those around them, whether it\u2019s their colleagues, clients, and anyone who steps into their workplace. By doing this, HSE becomes more than a set of rules. It transforms into a culture.” <\/p>\n

Facilities management is about more than maintenance. It\u2019s about creating safe, healthy, and sustainable<\/a> environments for our colleagues and customers. This work often comes with high stakes, whether managing multi-storey buildings, confined spaces, or critical equipment.<\/p>\n

Recognising these risks, Dian emphasised the need for a holistic approach to HSE.<\/p>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

At OCS, this commitment starts on day one. All employees receive HSE training during their newcomer class and induction programmes. Regular assessments ensure that every project aligns with HSE standards, while tailored procedures address the unique needs of diverse operational area.<\/p>\n

Our adherence to global and national standards, including ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management), ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management), and Government Regulation (PP) No. 50 of 2012 (SMK3); further underscores our dedication to best practices<\/p>\n

Open communication also plays a key role in building awareness. To observe\u00a0National HSE Month, from 12 January to 12 February, we organised\u00a0frontline town hall<\/a> this January. These interactive sessions held both online and in person, focused on practical safety measures and included lively Q&A discussions.<\/p>\n <\/section>\n\n\n
