Protecting people is fundamental to building a resilient organisation. When colleagues can work safely, stay healthy, and feel supported, they help keep operations running smoothly and enable teams to respond effectively to challenges and change.<\/p>\n

This is the focus of the QHSE pillar during OCS Resilience Week 2026 under the theme \u201cProtecting People, Powering Resilience.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

QHSE as the foundation of a resilient organisation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

At OCS Indonesia, protecting people starts with identifying risks before they lead to incidents. Through Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Determining Controls (HIRADC), the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and regular safety training, we equip our teams with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to work safely every day.<\/p>\n

These practical measures help prevent injuries, reduce disruptions, and support a workplace where safety, health, and wellbeing remain shared priority.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

\n \u201cPrioritising the protection of people is the first step towards minimising risk and creating a safer, healthier workplace. However, effective QHSE outcomes do not depend on systems alone. They are built through the awareness and active participation of every employee.\u201d <\/p>\n

We integrate QHSE into everyday operations rather than treating it solely as a compliance requirement. Through toolbox talks, safety briefings, training programmes, and the consistent application of safe working practices, we continue to embed safe behaviours and shared accountability across our operations.<\/p>\n

QHSE also supports the quality of our services. Regular audits and performance reviews help us identify opportunities for improvement, address issues promptly, and maintain the standards our customers expect. This disciplined approach strengthens customer confidence and reinforces OCS\u2019s reputation as a reliable partner.<\/p>\n

Building safety through collective responsibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

This commitment is supported by a strong speak-up and no-blame culture. Colleagues are encouraged to report unsafe conditions and unsafe actions without fear of criticism. Every report provides an opportunity to learn, improve, and prevent future incidents rather than assign blame.<\/p>\n

By taking this approach, safety becomes more than the responsibility of a single function. It becomes part of how we work every day.<\/p>\n

STOP: Small actions, big impact<\/strong><\/h3>\n

One of the key principles we promote at OCS is STOP: Stop <\/strong>\u2192 Think <\/strong>\u2192 Observe <\/strong>\u2192 Proceed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Before starting a task, or when faced with a potentially unsafe situation, colleagues are encouraged to pause, consider the risks, assess their surroundings, and proceed only when they are confident it is safe to do the work.<\/p>\n

This simple but effective approach supports better decision-making at the point of work. By recognising hazards early and taking appropriate action, colleagues can help prevent incidents and protect both of themselves and those around them.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

QHSE extends beyond protecting people. It also includes protecting the environment that supports our communities and operations. Through better waste management practices, improved energy efficiency, and efforts to reduce environmental impacts, we aim to operate more sustainably while supporting long-term business resilience.<\/p>\n

Resilient organisations are not built through a single initiative or policy. They are built through the everyday actions people take to manage risk, support one another, and work safely.
