Executive Summary<\/h2>\n

Since 2020, we\u2019ve held Toit\u016b Net Carbon Zero certification across our operations in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand \u2013 a commitment that\u2019s independently audited every year to verify that we\u2019re measuring, reducing, and offsetting our greenhouse gas emissions in line with global climate targets.<\/p>\n

Our relationship with Toit\u016b began in 2016, when OCS New Zealand became the first major company in our industry to achieve Toit\u016b carbonreduce certification. Over the years, the programme has strengthened our data collection and reporting, given us a clear baseline for reduction, and helped us make measurable progress.<\/p>\n

In 2024, we marked our eighth year of Toit\u016b certification in New Zealand, our seventh in Australia, and our first for 1M.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n <\/div>\n <\/div> <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n\n

      How We Measure<\/h2>\n
      \n

      Every year, we calculate our carbon footprint using Toit\u016b\u2019s emanage platform, which applies emissions factors and global warming potentials from the IPCC\u2019s Fifth Assessment Report. Our reporting follows ISO 14064-1:2018 and the GHG Protocol, with an operational control boundary so we include all emissions from activities we directly manage.<\/p>\n

      We source data from verified third-party suppliers \u2013 for example, Leaseplan for fleet fuel use, Ecotricity for electricity consumption, Waste Management for waste volumes, and CTM\/Verve Travel for flights. Installing electricity meters across all key sites has improved measurement accuracy, replacing earlier estimates. Significance criteria ensure that all major sources are captured, including all Category 1 and 2 emissions, selected Category 3 travel and freight emissions, and Category 4 waste and transmission losses.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n <\/div>\n <\/div> <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n\n
