Her team ensures every customer, vendor and material record is set up correctly so the systems behind the scenes run smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we moved to SAP, I thought, someone has to get this right,\u201d she recalls. \u201cYou know the saying: rubbish in, rubbish out. That\u2019s exactly what I wanted to avoid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her work touches every part of the business. Every accurate record means invoices go out on time, reports are reliable, and frontline teams can focus on their jobs rather than chasing errors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese days, reporting is a lot more advanced. Dashboards, analytics \u2013 all of that relies on the data being set up properly. We\u2019ve had to adapt as the business has adapted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Part of a company\u2011wide evolution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lina has lived through several restructures, process changes and new technologies \u2013 changes that have helped OCS shift from individual branches each doing things their own way to a unified, global company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBack in the day, everyone did their own thing. Now we\u2019ve got standard operating procedures, shared systems and one ledger across the company,\u201d she says. \u201cIt\u2019s made a huge difference.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a story that mirrors OCS\u2019s broader evolution over 125 years \u2013 a move from local beginnings to a worldwide business built on shared standards and strong values.<\/p>\n<p><strong>People make the difference<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While Lina\u2019s work is all about data, she says her fondest memories aren\u2019t about systems \u2013 they\u2019re about people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve met some amazing colleagues over the years. Conferences and team events have been great because you finally put faces to the names you\u2019ve been emailing or calling. You see a different side of people \u2013 sometimes very competitive!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those connections and the constant learning are what have kept her engaged for so long.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople think you\u2019ve just done the same job all these years, but it\u2019s evolved so much. New systems, new processes\u2026 it keeps it fresh, and I still enjoy it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recognising 26 years of contribution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lina\u2019s consistency and adaptability are part of what makes OCS\u2019s 125\u2011year story possible. Her work ensures the details behind the scenes are right, so frontline teams can deliver for customers with confidence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy fix something that isn\u2019t broken?\u201d Lina says. \u201cI enjoy the work and the people.
