Scottish charity, \u2018It\u2019s Good 2 Give\u2019 is an independent charity supporting children and young people with cancer, in practical ways, at their time of need.<\/p>\n

ASAMK was thrilled to be involved with this iconic project and help the client achieve their vision, creating a relaxing home to escape from the stress and physical challenges of the illness.<\/p>\n

It is a low carbon building, which uses an air source heat transfer system to supply heating and hot water in a sustainable manner. Underfloor heating provides the primary heat source throughout public areas, bedrooms and en-suites, creating a constant, comfortable air temperature.<\/p>\n

The centre, is now known as \u2018Ripple Retreat\u2019 – reflecting the wave
\nprofile of its fascia. This exceptional design was the brainchild of Tony Kettle (who also designed one of Scotland\u2019s most famous engineering landmarks; the Falkirk Wheel).<\/p>\n
