It means creating a culture where people feel safe, supported and confident in raising concerns. We\u2019ve strengthened our whistleblowing framework to ensure that colleagues and third parties have clear, confidential and trusted routes to report serious concerns, thereby helping to protect our people, our business and the communities we serve.<\/p>\n<p>Since the global rollout of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.safecall.co.uk\/clients\/ocs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Safecall<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in November 2023, OCS has taken a significant step forward in supporting a culture rooted in openness and trust.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Independent Whistleblowing Channel<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>\u201cSafecall is an independent, third-party whistleblowing service,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0explains\u00a0<strong>Sarah Bond<\/strong>, Senior Legal, Compliance and Governance Manager at OCS.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt offers colleagues a confidential route to raise serious concerns that they may not feel comfortable reporting directly to their manager, particularly where unethical practices may be involved.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Safecall is available 24\/7 globally via an online portal and local language\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.safecall.co.uk\/file-a-report\/telephone-numbers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">freephone numbers<\/a>. It forms part of OCS\u2019s broader compliance programme, which includes our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ucarecdn.com\/8b0e8eb9-cf56-4a9a-9d6e-0f9ff25a93de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Code of Conduct<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ocs.com\/app\/uploads\/2024\/05\/OCS-Whistleblower-Statement-Q224-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Whistleblowing Statement<\/a>, \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/d87dddc60964470df103b5a2d\/files\/6363fee8-aa3a-7cb2-2f0a-c710f3a2cc30\/OCS_Anti_Bribery_Web_Statement_Q224.01.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anti-bribery procedures,<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ocs.com\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/OCS-UKI-Anti-Fraud-Statement.pdf\">Anti-fraud<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ocs.com\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/OCS-UKI-Anti-Fraud-Statement.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0Statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Safecall, OCS launched a confidential\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:compliance@ocs.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">email address<\/a>\u00a0that has been introduced as part of our anti-bribery framework. Like the Group Safecall portal, this route is jointly managed by the Group General Counsel and Sarah, with reports reviewed and escalated for investigation where appropriate.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe assess each case carefully,\u201d Sarah emphasises.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cDepending on the details, we determine the best route for investigation. It\u2019s about treating every concern with the seriousness it deserves.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>A Speak-Up Culture for Everyone<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>All whistleblowing routes, including Safecall and the confidential email address, as well as the option to speak directly with a line manager, are available to OCS colleagues, customers, suppliers, and members of the public. As Sarah explains:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt\u2019s important that everyone knows they can raise a concern whether they work with us, for us or alongside us. And when they do, we want them to feel confident that it will be taken seriously and handled with care. We are committed to ensuring that anyone who raises a concern in good faith is protected and will not suffer any negative consequences as a result.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Aligning to Our True Values<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Safecall and our wider whistleblowing approach support OCS\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ocs.com\/about-ocs\/true-values\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">True Values<\/a>, especially Trust and Respect.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe trust our colleagues to act ethically, and when they see something wrong, we trust them to speak up.<\/em>\u00a0<em>And we respect them for doing so.
