OCS Singapore proudly raised S$2,240 through a recent charity initiative, directly supporting\u00a0Food from the Heart (Singapore)<\/a>\u00a0and their impactful\u00a0Community Shops\u00a0programme. This reflects our ongoing commitment to uplifting the communities we serve.<\/p>\n

Delivering Real Impact<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Food from the Heart\u2019s Community Shops operate on a unique model that empowers beneficiaries with dignity and choice. Instead of receiving pre-packed food rations, beneficiaries can visit the shops multiple times each month and select 14 essential food items that best suit their household needs.<\/p>\n

Beyond meeting nutritional requirements, the shops also encourage social interaction by giving beneficiaries a reason to leave their homes and engage with others in the community. This helps foster a sense of connection and mutual care among residents.<\/p>\n

Currently, the Community Shop serves 254 beneficiaries in the heartland neighbourhood.<\/p>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

Unified Action, Real Impact<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We kicked off the fundraising campaign through internal communications, where colleagues actively championed the cause and shared the programme\u2019s goals. Over the following weeks, teams across departments rallied together, raising funds that enabled us to purchase over 800 food items, with a focus on those identified by FFTH as low in stock. These essential items were promptly delivered to the Community Shop for restocking.<\/p>\n

Taking our support a step further, OCS volunteers rolled up their sleeves and visited the shop to assist with restocking. They scanned items into the system, arranged them on shelves, and ensured everything was ready for distribution. This hands-on involvement gave our colleagues a powerful, firsthand view of how their collective efforts directly supported families in need.<\/p>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

This campaign marked a milestone for OCS Singapore, becoming our most participated CSR initiative to date. Colleagues from across the organisation came together with genuine enthusiasm and generosity, reflecting the strength of our shared values and commitment to community.<\/p>\n

More than just a fundraising effort, this initiative delivered tangible, lasting outcomes. By helping to keep the Community Shops operational and well-stocked, we are supporting a sustainable food support system that uplifts vulnerable households across Singapore – demonstrating how people-powered purpose can create real impact.<\/p>\n <\/section>\n\n\n
