OCS was appointed by Clyde Gateway as principal contractor to design, build, and commission a new sustainable energy centre at the Red Tree Magenta development in Glasgow\u2019s East End.<\/p>\n

Over 18 months, the team delivered a cutting-edge facility integrating waste heat recovery, a 400\u202fkW solar PV array with battery storage, district and ambient heating loops, and low-carbon cooling capabilities.     The Outcome<\/h2>\n

    OCS delivered a fully prefabricated, future-proofed energy centre that significantly reduced on-site build time. The facility includes a 400\u202fkW solar PV array with battery storage, generating an estimated 372,582\u202fkWh annually and avoiding over 86 tonnes of CO\u2082 emissions each year.<\/p>\n

    Over 100 metres of ambient loop pipework were installed through a smart bridge, with careful planning to minimise disruption. The centre now supplies low-carbon heating and cooling to Red Tree Magenta and is designed to scale with future developments across the Green Regeneration Innovation District.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n <\/div>\n <\/div> <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

    \n \u201cD2 GRIDs was very much a continuation of a project that we worked on in Shawfair. We are increasingly seeing companies putting sustainability at the heart of projects to deliver energy in a new way that will provide commercial properties and homes with heating and cooling well into the 21st century and beyond. And at the heart of this project was the partnership approach which is central to all of our work because delivering projects in this way overcomes challenges at the outset and sets positive relationships up for the future.\u201d <\/p>\n
