OCS<\/span> completed a 16-month project to build and commission a new energy centre in Midlothian, Scotland. This project is part of an urban design masterplan aiming to deliver 3,000 new homes, including two primary schools, and a secondary school. It also includes a commercial and retail space to support the new community’s needs.<\/strong><\/div>\n

Vattenfall Heat UK and Midlothian Council, through their joint venture Midlothian Energy Ltd (MEL), appointed OCS as principal contractor. OCS will design and build the low-carbon heating Energy Centre and District Heating Network for Shawfair New Town. The development, situated just outside of the eastern boundary of Edinburgh, forms part of MEL\u2019s five-year business plan to supply heat to over 3,000 households at Shawfair Town.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n <\/div>\n <\/div> <\/div>\n <\/section>\n \n\n
