OCS is honoured to announce our facilities services partnership with Battersea Power Station, one of London\u2019s most iconic and reimagined landmarks. This collaboration will enable us to provide cleaning and security (soft services) to create a safe, welcoming, and vibrant experience for all who visit. Claire Rumsey, Managing Director of Destinations<\/a>, and Tom Anderson, Business Director for Destinations, played pivotal roles in securing this project, bringing it to fruition with their commitment and expertise while demonstrating a deep understanding and appreciation for the landmark\u2019s unique legacy.<\/p>\n

A Vision Realised Through Aspiration and Commitment<\/h4>\n

This partnership is a significant milestone, fulfilling a long-held vision of OCS UK & Ireland CEO Daniel Dickson<\/a>. From the early days of Battersea Power Station\u2019s redevelopment, Daniel lived nearby and witnessed its transformation, sparking his aspiration for OCS to support this landmark as its FM provider. He aimed to contribute to Battersea Power Station and establish OCS as a forward-thinking facilities management partner committed to quality, sustainability, innovation and community impact.<\/p>\n

Daniel\u2019s vision was to align OCS with projects that shape the future of facilities management by prioritising social value and sustainable practices. This contract with Battersea Power Station is a powerful realisation of that ambition, marking a new chapter as we work together to enhance this destination and contribute positively to the surrounding community.<\/p>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

The mobilisation of this contract has proven rewarding, and we are delighted by the positive response from our new colleagues following an immersive onboarding experience. Their dedication and enthusiasm have established a solid foundation, and we are grateful for the knowledge and insights they bring to the success of this partnership. Our on-site facilities management team is vital for delivering a high standard of service at Battersea Power Station, and their local expertise and knowledge are significant factors in helping us ensure a welcoming and safe environment.<\/p>\n

OCS is committed to supporting each team member with ongoing training, development opportunities, and a focus on well-being to ensure they feel valued and fully equipped to excel in their roles. By prioritising local recruitment and skills development, we aim to contribute positively to the community while fostering a motivated team aligned with Battersea Power Station\u2019s values and vision.<\/p>\n

To further enhance this, OCS will collaborate with the BASE (Battersea Academy for Skills & Employment<\/a>) Skills Academy, a recruitment service led by Battersea Power Station Development Company. BASE matches employers with job seekers from the Boroughs of Wandsworth and Lambeth. BASE o\ufb00ers access to tailored training and employment pathways that align with the needs of Battersea Power Station and its surrounding community. It equips individuals with the skills to secure meaningful and sustainable employment.<\/p>\n
