City of London\u2019s Careers Festival 2025 <\/a>\u00a0recognised OCS as Highly Commendable <\/em>in its Above and Beyond awards category. The award highlights our commitment to creating meaningful experiences for young people and broadening their understanding of the world of work.<\/p>\n

The annual two-week festival invites businesses to engage local schools and students through immersive, hands-on activities. This year, OCS was proud to host a unique sushi-making day at the iconic Imperial War Museum. The event gave students a taste of both the hospitality industry and a behind-the-scenes look at one of London\u2019s landmark institutions.<\/p>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

\n \u201cThis recognition is really about our teams pulling out all the stops to make things happen,\u201d said Kellie Newell, who coordinated the initiative. \u201cIt\u2019s about making space for these experiences, going above and beyond what\u2019s expected, and doing something special for young people exploring career options.\u201d <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

OCS also participated in the festival\u2019s main Careers Fair, offering insight into the breadth of roles available within facilities management \u2013 from catering and security to cleaning and customer service. As a key part of our social value programme<\/a>, the company\u2019s efforts reflect its wider commitment to supporting communities, opening doors, and inspiring future talent.<\/p>\n

We will continue to celebrate and champion this win by sharing photos from the event, including moments from the sushi workshop, across OCS channels as part of our continued celebration of impactful engagement.<\/p>\n
