Standards, behaviours and expectations travel quickly across the industry &#8211; what is tolerated in one area can soon become accepted practice elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Custodianship is about stewardship. It requires leaders to look beyond competition and recognise shared responsibility for the sector\u2019s credibility. That includes addressing long-standing issues such as training malpractice, labour exploitation, mandatory business licensing, and the implementation of <a href=\"https:\/\/homeofficemedia.blog.gov.uk\/2025\/04\/03\/martyns-law-factsheet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Martyn\u2019s Law<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>These challenges cannot be solved in isolation.
