From\u00a0September\u00a014 to 20, the global OCS community will travel 28,000 virtual miles in seven days, supporting the OCS Foundation<\/a> and the young people at the heart of its work.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Colleagues,\u00a0customers\u00a0and suppliers across OCS will take part in the\u00a0<\/span>OCS World Tour Challenge<\/a>,\u00a0walking, running,\u00a0cycling\u00a0and swimming\u00a0along a virtual route\u00a0to\u00a0all\u00a018 countries served by OCS.\u00a0Participants\u00a0will work towards the shared\u00a0global\u00a0target, with participants recording their activity through a movement-tracking app and watching the collective distance grow throughout the week.\u00a0It is all for a\u00a0bigger\u00a0purpose,\u00a0to support\u00a0our\u00a0local\u00a0communities\u00a0through the OCS\u00a0Foundation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

One Challenge, One Shared Purpose<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

The Foundation believes no child should have limits set on their potential, dreams or future. It supports causes and charities that give less advantaged young people opportunities to explore their passions, develop their skills and build the networks they need to thrive.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Funds raised\u00a0in the UK&I\u00a0throughout the week-long\u00a0challenge will help support\u00a0our\u00a0charity\u00a0partners<\/a>\u2019\u00a0and community\u00a0groups\u2019 work,\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>including areas such as mental health,\u00a0education\u00a0and skills development.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This\u00a0year\u00a0we are\u00a0supporting\u00a0Scotty\u2019s Little\u00a0Soldiers<\/a>,\u00a0Teenage\u00a0Cancer\u00a0Trust<\/a>,\u00a0Brighten the\u00a0Corners<\/a> and Irish\u00a0Youth\u00a0Foundation<\/a>\u00a0as well as\u00a0small\u00a0local organisations<\/a>\u00a0nominated and\u00a0voted\u00a0for by\u00a0OCS\u00a0colleagues.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

A Global Journey<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

The challenge will follow a virtual route through 18 countries – starting in the UK, we will virtually travel across Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australasia, reflecting the international OCS community and the different places where colleagues work and provide services.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Teams and individuals can contribute in different ways. Walking to work, running, cycling at the weekend, or swimming can all add distance to the collective total, as well as other activities such as chair aerobics, gardening, housework or weight-lifting, making participation inclusive, no matter ability or fitness level. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The challenge also\u00a0provides an opportunity for colleagues, customers and suppliers\u00a0to connect beyond their usual working environments, with a shared focus on community and positive impact.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

Supporting the OCS Foundation<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

The OCS Foundation was\u00a0established\u00a0to support young people and help create opportunities for them to reach their potential.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The World Tour Challenge gives colleagues,\u00a0customers\u00a0and suppliers a practical way to contribute to that purpose. Every mile moved helps raise funds for the Foundation and the causes it supports.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The focus on young people reflects the Foundation\u2019s belief that access to support, education,\u00a0skills\u00a0and positive networks can make a lasting difference to their lives.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

Get Involved<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

There are several ways to support the World Tour Challenge.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

OCS colleagues,\u00a0customers\u00a0and suppliers can take part in the challenge, follow the virtual\u00a0journey\u00a0and encourage others to get involved. Those who are unable to\u00a0participate\u00a0can still support the campaign by sharing it or donating to the OCS Foundation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
