PCS Foundation – a force for good

Making people and places the best they can be, driven by our six (best) foundational pillars and supported through the impactful work and legacy of the PCS Foundation.

About the PCS Foundation

The PCS Foundation tackles some of the causes and effects of poverty in society by developing the capacity and skills of socially and economically disadvantaged members of communities and protecting and improving the environment in which they live. We do this by investing in partnerships with organisations that share our vision and passion to deliver initiatives and research that influence public policy and practice.

The PCS Foundation is integral to our ethos and is crucial in realising our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals. The Foundation’s work goes beyond just supporting PCS’s objectives; it has a direct, positive impact on communities. By tackling challenges like employment barriers and poverty, the Foundation helps deliver sustainable and lasting outcomes, aligning with our core mission of making people and places the best they can be.

One of our core programmes, People into Work, provides positive outcomes for people with significant barriers to entering and succeeding in the workplace.

PCS Foundation (Thailand)

PCS, part of the PCS Group, is our operating brand and business in Thailand, which employs close to 40,000 colleagues. The PCS Foundation, established in 2007 by the late Chairman Liam Ayudhkij, is dedicated to supporting local communities in Thailand through various means, including volunteer work, financial contributions, and equipment donations.

Since its inception, the Foundation has raised over five million Thai baht, enabling us to impact underprivileged communities significantly. Our contributions have facilitated educational support, such as scholarships for children in rural areas and rebuilding schools.

We proactively collaborate with several notable organisations, including the Support the Children Foundation, the United Nations World Food Programme, World Concern, the Independent Living Centre, and the Child Exploitation & Online Protection Centre.

The foundation’s funding beneficiaries include the Thailand Business Coalition on AIDS, Chulalongkorn Hospital’s Princess Srindhorn Craniofacial Center, Camillian Social Center, and Satriwittaya School. Our ongoing commitment includes annual donations to the Support the Children Foundation in Chiang Mai, supporting children affected by HIV and AIDS. We have contributed to constructing a new facility at Bor Kleua Hospital in Nan province and actively participate in mangrove reforestation initiatives in Samut-Prakarn province.

“The PCS and PCS Foundations are a critical part of our business. Helping others and sharing success whilst doing good business is a win for everyone. I’m pleased with what we’ve achieved to date, and I’m looking forward to driving more good work and sound together.”
