Purposeful leadership makes work better
Irfan serves as a supervisor for one of OCS Indonesia’s facilities management projects at an automotive manufacturing premise. He leads a team of nearly 200 personnel delivering a wide range of services, including technical maintenance, cleaning, front-of-house and gardening.
Leading a large and diverse team requires strong dedication. Through his positive attitude, Irfan has excelled in his role and continued to grow professionally, progressing from team leader to supervisor over the past two years at OCS.
With a background in architecture, Irfan has fully embraced the challenges of leading a facility team. He inspires both himself and his team to keep learning and improving. To encourage this, he introduced an on-site learning programme focused on developing operator competencies and creating opportunities for growth.

Sharing knowledge, building culture
Irfan realises that many of his team members have limited access to higher education. This awareness strengthens his motivation to support their learning, especially in soft skills such as communication and complaint handling. Through this programme, he also strengthens OCS’s working culture and standard operating procedures, helping his team apply these principles in daily tasks.
The idea for the learning programme came from insights gained during OCS training sessions. Irfan now shares those lessons with his team, helping them improve and contribute to both own growth and the success of the business.
He holds the learning sessions every Monday in small groups. As a result, team members have become more engaged and motivated to delivering excellent service. They now take the initiative to learn independently and explore new insights through OCS Indonesia’s Learning Management Systems.
In addition to sharing knowledge and values, Irfan creates a safe space for feedback. Every team member is encouraged to share ideas and challenges. Together, they evaluate issues and customer feedback to find the best solution.
