Advancing Sustainable Growth: OCS Engages with Indonesia’s SEZ National Council

We were honoured and excited to engage in a meaningful dialogue with Indonesia’s National Council for Special Economic Zones/SEZ (DENAS KEK), accompanied by our OCS delegation, led by Group CEO Rob Legge, Regional Asia Pacific & Middle East CEO Roland Salameh, and OCS Indonesia Managing Director Yohanes Jeffry Johary.

Our discussion centred on exploring Indonesia’s SEZ policies, incentives, and ambitious vision to become the world’s 4th largest economy by 2045. From the facilities management (FM) perspective, Indonesia’s SEZs present tremendous opportunities for growth. With state-of-the art infrastructure—integrated seaports, power plants, and waste management systems—these zones, spanning healthcare, manufacturing, education, and technology, are poised to attract industries demanding advanced FM services.

OCS shared how our global expertise in sustainable facilities management and integrated services can drive the success of SEZs. Our collaboration with SEZ Sanur, including the creation of an ESG playbook, reflects our dedication to sustainability and operational excellence. By harnessing innovative technologies, OCS is ready to optimise SEZ facilities, ensuring efficient and sustainable operations across these vibrant economic hubs.

The session provided deep insights into Indonesia’s strategy for this special zone, not just as infrastructure projects but as ecosystems fostering innovation, education, and empowerment. DENAS KEK’s leadership in shaping SEZ policies is inspiring, opening doors to new opportunities for communities and businesses.

Our sincere thank you to DENAS KEK for their warm hospitality and openness. We are eager to continue supporting Indonesia’s SEZ journey, contributing to future of sustainable growth and prosperity.
