Job Description

General Repair & Preventive Upkeep

  • Perform minor repair works including carpentry, basic plumbing, painting, patching, and fixture replacements.
  • Fix door hinges, locks, handles, drawers, window rollers, ceiling tiles, and furniture items.
  • Assist with minor electrical tasks (non-LEW scope) such as replacing light tubes/bulbs, switches, and power points (under supervision and dead circuit).
  • Carry out routine site checks to identify defects early.
  • Perform touch-up works, tightening, lubrication, alignment, and cleaning of fittings.
  • Support preventive maintenance tasks assigned by technicians or supervisors.

Technical Support and Reporting

  • Assist technicians during breakdown rectification or scheduled maintenance.
  • Help prepare tools, materials, and site setup for technical works.
  • Escort vendors or service partners when required.
  • Record maintenance works in checklists, logbooks, and CMMS where applicable.
  • Support supervisors or engineers in preparing maintenance reports and documentation.

Safety and Compliance

  • Follow safe work practices and adhere to client/OCS site protocols.
  • Assist in putting up barricades, signage, and ensuring work areas are safe.
  • Report any hazards, unsafe conditions, or near misses immediately.

Teamwork and Service Quality

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and contractors to achieve operational excellence.
  • Maintain professionalism and uphold the company’s service quality standards at all times.
  • Respond to tenant or occupant requests in a polite, timely, and professional manner.
  • Update job sheets, service requests, and close work orders through the CMMS/mobile app.
  • Provide feedback on recurring issues and propose simple improvements.

 

Requirements:

  • NITEC / Higher NITEC / relevant technical certificates preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in general building maintenance or handyman work.
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and simple electrical repairs.
  • Ability to use basic tools (drill, grinder, hand tools, measuring tape).
  • Physically fit, hands-on, and able to work independently.
  • Any Engineering certifications or CFME certifications (advantageous)
  • May be required to work shifts, weekends, or on-call duty as per operational needs.
