Funds Raised to Support Community Shops

OCS Singapore proudly raised S$2,240 through a recent charity initiative, directly supporting Food from the Heart (Singapore) and their impactful Community Shops programme. This reflects our ongoing commitment to uplifting the communities we serve.

Delivering Real Impact

Food from the Heart’s Community Shops operate on a unique model that empowers beneficiaries with dignity and choice. Instead of receiving pre-packed food rations, beneficiaries can visit the shops multiple times each month and select 14 essential food items that best suit their household needs.

Beyond meeting nutritional requirements, the shops also encourage social interaction by giving beneficiaries a reason to leave their homes and engage with others in the community. This helps foster a sense of connection and mutual care among residents.

Currently, the Community Shop serves 254 beneficiaries in the heartland neighbourhood.

This campaign marked a milestone for OCS Singapore, becoming our most participated CSR initiative to date. Colleagues from across the organisation came together with genuine enthusiasm and generosity, reflecting the strength of our shared values and commitment to community.

More than just a fundraising effort, this initiative delivered tangible, lasting outcomes. By helping to keep the Community Shops operational and well-stocked, we are supporting a sustainable food support system that uplifts vulnerable households across Singapore – demonstrating how people-powered purpose can create real impact.
