This National HSE Month focuses on building a professional, reliable, and collaborative HSE management ecosystem. At OCS Indonesia, we view our work as part of that larger system. We contribute by ensuring every colleague understands their role and acts on it.
A strong ecosystem needs every participant to be competent and consistent. It needs teams that work together. For us, that means health, safety, and environment are part of everyone’s daily responsibility. It goes beyond a specialist function.
Professionalism is in the details, as we follow procedures correctly. Reliability is in our habits, by applying those procedures every time. Collaboration is in our conversations, by discussing risks and solutions as one team. This practical approach protects our people and our performance.
Dian Pratiwi, our Country QHSE Manager, explained how this is put into practice.
“Collaboration matters because it strengthens awareness. When people understand risks from the start, they work together to prevent hazards and reduce the risk of incidents.”

Country QHSE Manager at OCS Indonesia
Building professional standards through routine
Professionalism emerges from regular practice. Our QHSE team integrates HSE principles into daily work through consistent training and dialogue.
Our monthly townhalls, held at both the head office and for frontline teams, consistently begin with a safety talk to keep our understanding sharp. At head office, these talks reinforce company-wide standards. For frontline briefings, the opening HSE moment localises themes, addressing specific site hazards and equipment use.
“Safety starts with awareness. When the basics become habit, culture follows.”
Ensuring reliability through integrated processes
Reliability comes from strong, interconnected processes. We achieve this by working across departments.
Risk assessments and site inspections are now joint activities with Sales and Service Experience. This integrated view helps us identify and control hazards early, especially for higher-risk services such as working at height, rope access, confined space operations, and electrical work. This ensures that potential risks are addressed before work begins.
Our Learning & Development team creates training that reflects the actual conditions of each project. This prepares our colleagues to work safely and more confidently on-site.
Our QHSE and ESG teams work closely on measurable environmental actions, from utility monitoring to waste management, building sustainable into daily operations.
Our systems are validated by international standards like ISO 37001 and ISO 14644-1:2015, achieved through collaboration with our Legal and Service Experience team. These certifications confirm the reliable frameworks we follow.
“Our certifications reflect the standards we uphold across our work and reinforce our commitment to deliver consistent quality across every services.”
Strengthening collaboration for colleague wellbeing
Collaboration extends to health and resilience. Together with HR, we run wellness programmes and fitness groups that support physical and mental health. A healthier team is more focused and reliable one.
Our efforts align with the national focus. We are building a more resilient HSE management ecosystem by embedding professionalism, reliability and collaboration into our daily work.
Safety continues through the discipline and awareness of every person here. By working as one team, we create an environment where people can perform at their best and return home safely.
