OCS Indonesia Executive Customer Discussion with Regional CEO of OCS APAC & ME

Regulatory change is easier to navigate when businesses begin working together before every answer is available.

On 19 and 22 October, OCS Indonesia convened two executive discussions with selected customers on Indonesia’s New Worker Protection Law and its implications for employment practices, service delivery, and business continuity.

The two sessions, conducted in Bahasa and English, enabled a wider group of customer leaders to examine the implications for their respective operations and contribute to practical transition planning.

We were pleased to welcome Roland Salameh, Regional CEO of OCS Asia Pacific and Middle East, who travelled from Singapore to Jakarta to engage directly with our customers.

Drawing on experience across different markets, Roland shared an important perspective: while employment regulations differ between countries, the underlying responsibilities of businesses towards their people, customers, and operational performance are often interconnected.

A regulation may be written within one legal framework, but its consequences extend well beyond it.

Understanding those consequences requires examining how employment, commercial contracting, procurement, and operational accountability interact in practice.

Yohanes Jeffry Johary, President Director and Managing Director of OCS Indonesia, led the technical discussions, supported by Andi Saputra, Chief Finance and Strategy Officer, and Raysha Rahma Gobel, Country Legal.

The discussions considered how customers and service providers can manage the transition responsibly, including business continuity, workforce protection, and the shift towards clearer accountability for delivery and performance.

No two customer operations are identical. Manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, data centres, and commercial workplaces each have different requirements. Effective solutions must reflect those differences while maintaining consistent employment and governance standards.

By connecting local expertise, customer knowledge and regional capabilities, OCS aims to translate regulatory complexity into practical solutions tailored to different operating environments.

The purpose is not simply to anticipate regulatory requirements, but to prepare organisations to respond responsibly as those requirements become clearer.

We thank our customers for their trust, openness, and constructive participation, and Roland for his direct engagement and continued regional support.

Responsible transformation is not achieved by changing contracts alone. It requires businesses to reconsider how responsibilities are shared, how services are delivered, and how people are supported.

Ultimately, the value of collaboration is measured not by how many perspectives are brought together, but by how effectively they translate into better decisions and sustainable outcomes.
