OCS Indonesia Exploring Technology and Digitalisation at KUMPUL Connect for Change Summit 2026

Companies have a role in innovation that is often overlooked: making their operational problems clear enough for others to help solve them.

That was our reflection from BritCham Indonesia’s Technology & Digitalisation track at the KUMPUL 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 2026, held under the theme “𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭.”

The reverse pitch format put that responsibility into practice. Companies presented technology initiatives or a “Problem Bank” of operational challenges. Open Q&A invited participants to question assumptions, while rotating discussions and networking offered opportunities to explore solutions and potential partnerships.

For OCS Indonesia, the value lies in bringing operational experience into the development process early. A useful solution requires an understanding of how work happens, who will use it, and what must change for it to succeed.

Last year, our participation in GenAIFund introduced an AI concept addressing a complex facilities management challenge. That idea has since developed into Project Propel, scheduled to launch by the end of Q1 2027.

This year, our Chief Xperience Officer, Erwin Bernhard, and Country IT lead, Tama Wangsadinata, introduced another idea with potential application across FM and also relevant to other industries.

FM provides a valuable perspective on these opportunities. Working across customer environments, we see how information reaches decision-makers, where handovers create delays, and how processes help or hinder frontline colleagues. Such challenges have relevance well beyond FM.

Our strategic objective is to connect digitalisation with customer experience, workforce capability, and responsible operations. That requires attention to the systems surrounding a technology: the quality of its data, the clarity of accountability, and people’s ability to use it with confidence across different sites and operating conditions.

This explains our continued involvement in forums that connect businesses, innovators, and the institutions supporting technology adoption. Businesses can make operational needs visible and provide settings in which proposed solutions can be tested. Innovators can challenge established approaches. The resulting exchange can also give chambers, policymakers, and regulators a closer understanding of the practical conditions affecting adoption.

Our mission to make people and places the best they can be gives this work its purpose. Its value will be measured in solutions that colleagues can use, customers can rely on, and operations can sustain.

Thank you to Ibu Nina Arsih, OCS Indonesia Marketing Director, and Ibu Astari Sutjiningtyas from BritCham Indonesia, and to the KUMPUL team, for creating the opportunity for these exchanges.
