When we look back on our journey as part of the OCS Group, the story is one of steady progress shaped by mission, vision, people, and technology. As OCS Group marks its 125th anniversary globally, OCS Indonesia reflects on the milestones that have defined our role in making people and places the best they can be, while ensuring that global standards and innovations translate into meaningful local impact.
A Mission Anchored in Sustainability
In May 2023, OCS Indonesia accelerated its environmental commitment with a pledge to achieve net carbon zero by 2033. Announced in Jakarta with key partners, the decision aligned local operations with the Group’s global mission and 125 years of responsible stewardship.
Managing Director Yohanes Jeffry Johary explained:
“We want to ensure that by 2033, the carbon OCS Indonesia adds to the atmosphere will be no more than the amount removed. By doing this, we will play a significant role in reducing our environmental footprint and contributing to creating a more sustainable planet.”

The pledge came with four clear priorities: reducing emissions, strengthening health and safety, supporting rural youth, and ensuring strong governance. These targets mirror OCS Group’s global ESG commitments while responding to Indonesia’s unique environmental challenges.
Environmental Action as Part of ESG
Environmental activities have been a consistent part of OCS Indonesia’s ESG journey. Each year, colleagues take part in initiatives such as World Cleanup Day, tree planting, and ongoing waste management activities. These actions restore biodiversity, build environmental resilience, and ensure that collected waste is processed rather than left to pollute land and sea.
In parallel, our partners strengthen these efforts by providing green chemical alternatives and reducing plastic packaging materials, ensuring that sustainability is embedded not only in what we do but also in the products and solutions we bring into our operations.
Chief Operating Officer Ricardo Purba emphasised the long-term focus:
“We focus our efforts on ensuring that every environmental activity we do, from waste management to reforestation, creates tangible and lasting impact.”

These efforts sit alongside larger-scale projects such as the first ESG Playbook for the Sanur Special Economic Zone in Bali, developed with PT HISI. The playbook provides a framework for embedding sustainability into future-focused developments and reflects OCS Indonesia’s role in shaping ESG practices that can be scaled across the country.
Digital Transformation Driving Impact
Alongside sustainability, OCS Indonesia has embedded digital transformation at the heart of operations. The Milky Way Project has redefined our finance and human-resources systems, delivering Day-1 operational dashboards and Day-3 integrated reporting, strengthening decision-making and transparency.
In parallel, frontend technology platforms are being deployed to manage workforce productivity, energy efficiency, integrated security solutions, and safety performance. These digital capabilities ensure that our customer commitments are measurable, traceable, and continuously improved. They also demonstrate how FM in Indonesia is evolving into a data-driven industry, aligned with global standards but responsive to local operational realities with Operational ESG Dashboards and OCS Chatbot Assistant (OCHA).
Human Resources Director Meindi Firmansyah highlighted the human dimension of this shift:
“Technology does not transform business, people do. Digital transformation enables people to thrive in a smarter, faster, and more transparent workplace. By giving colleagues access to real-time data and insights, we empower them to make better decisions, elevate performance, and deliver consistent value to our customers.”

Rebranding with Vision
In January 2024, OCS Indonesia introduced its refreshed brand. The launch was more than a change of uniforms or a new global website. It was a statement of purpose. The refreshed identity signalled a commitment to sustainability, digital innovation, and people-centric growth, reinforcing OCS Indonesia’s role as a FM leader that creates impact beyond operations.
“Our vision is clear, and our mission is simple,” Jeffry said at the launch. “We believe that everyone should have the best conditions and opportunities to thrive. Our rebranding reflects this commitment.”
The refreshed identity underlined a consistent mission: making people and places the best they can be. It also reinforced our connection to the OCS Group’s global brand, demonstrating how local actions contribute to a collective global reputation built over 125 years.
Recognising the Contribution of Colleagues
At the heart of OCS Indonesia’s progress are its colleagues. Their dedication has powered initiatives that go beyond operational excellence and build a culture of shared purpose. Through the TRUE Stars Awards, we celebrate the everyday acts of Trust, Respect, Unity, and Empowerment that shape how we work. Complimenting this, the TRUE Champion Awards recognise colleagues whose leadership and innovation drive transformation, proving that our values are lived commitments across all levels of the organisation.
Chief Financial Officer Andi Saputra reflected on these contributions:
“Our colleagues are the true drivers of change. Through their care for people and places, they show that sustainability is not a programme but a daily act of responsibility. When we act with purpose together, we protect ecosystems, strengthen communities, and prove that collective action truly builds a better future for all.”

Security and Skills for the Future
In 2025, OCS Indonesia achieved a breakthrough milestone by becoming the first FM company in Indonesia to establish a strategic partnership with the National Police’s Security Maintenance Agency (Baharkam POLRI). This collaboration positions OCS not simply as a service provider, but as a trusted public-private partner in national security and resilience, a distinction no other FM company in the market holds.
“Security forms the foundation of operational trust and continuity,” Jeffry noted. “Our Integrated Security Solutions, now strengthened by Polri’s support, deliver comprehensive protection through technology, training and risk management.”
The second milestone was the launch of the VOCIFY Green Skills Development and Apprenticeship Programme with pilot project partners in the automotive and logistics industries. By combining technical training with international standards, OCS Indonesia prepared our frontline colleagues as young Indonesians for careers that support both industry growth and sustainability.
A Consistent Experience
Consistency is at the core of trust, and at OCS Indonesia we believe that every interaction, whether with colleagues, customers, or communities, should reflect the same standard of excellence. A consistent experience is not just about service delivery. It is about embedding our values into daily practice, ensuring that people feel supported, safe, and empowered wherever OCS is present. This principle transforms FM from a background function into a visible force for resilience, inclusivity, and sustainable growth.
Chief Experience Officer Erwin Bernhard underlined the importance of everyday impact:
“Our role is to ensure that every touchpoint, whether for our colleagues on the frontline or for our customers across industries, creates confidence, safety, and value. By listening and learning, we continuously improve the way people experience facilities management.”

Looking Ahead with Clarity
As OCS Group celebrates 125 years, OCS Indonesia’s milestones stand as evidence of mission and vision in action. From environmental commitments to skills development, from digital transformation to integrated security solutions, each step reinforces the company’s role in building proactive resilient workplaces and stronger communities.
The journey continues, but the direction is set: to become the best facilities management business in the country by making people and places the best they can be.
