Precision in Every Detail: Post-Construction Cleaning for Mantlewood Town Center

Post-construction cleaning involves more than making a space look presentable. It requires planning, safety controls, surface protection, technical expertise, and quality checks. These steps ensure facilities are ready for use.

OCS Philippines delivered a post-construction deep cleaning project for Mantlewood Town Center by Oakridge. The project covered approximately 1,100 sqm of common areas. These areas included first and second-floor common spaces, glass walls, canopy sections, and a supermarket receiving area.

A team of seven cleaning professionals completed the project. They followed a structured methodology focused on safety, consistency, and attention to detail.

A Rapid Response Backed by Careful Planning

The customer approached OCS after receiving unsatisfactory results from another provider. The requirement was urgent. Our team immediately conducted due diligence and assessed the work scope.

OCS was awarded the project on 27 June 2026, with cleaning completed from 28 to 29 June 2026.

Before mobilisation, the team conducted a detailed site inspection. This activity involved the customer’s facilities team and safety officer. The assessment identified cleaning requirements, site risks, access limitations, and sensitive surfaces. They also identified the equipment needed for safe execution. This preparation enabled a rapid response without compromising quality.

Understanding the Site Before Work Began

Every successful project starts with understanding site conditions.

The OCS Special Projects team reviewed all assigned areas. The team also evaluated operational requirements and access needs. They selected suitable tools and equipment for the project.

The team assessed potential hazards before work began. They implemented appropriate control measures for identified risks. These controls proved critical in elevated work areas.

We do not simply deploy cleaning teams. We plan and control every activity carefully. This approach protects people, property, and completed surfaces.

Protecting Sensitive Fixtures and Surfaces

Post-construction sites often contain dust, debris, and residue. These contaminants can affect newly installed fixtures and finishes. The team protected sensitive equipment and surfaces before cleaning activities began. Protective coverings helped prevent dust contamination and accidental damage. These measures proved important in newly completed areas. The approach preserved installations and supported turnover readiness.

Applying Safe Working-at-Height Procedures

Several project areas required elevated access. These areas included glass walls, canopies, ceilings, and high-level surfaces.

The team implemented strict working-at-height procedures. The team evaluated access requirements and prepared necessary safety controls. These controls included ladders, formworks, body harnesses, and PPE. The team also used other required safety equipment.

Before work started, all personnel attended a safety briefing. The briefing covered procedures, hazards, and control measures. The team consistently followed PPE requirements and the buddy system. These practices supported safe movement and task execution.

Following a Structured Cleaning Methodology

The team followed a systematic cleaning process. Each stage addressed specific cleaning requirements.

Vacuuming

The team first removed loose dust, dirt, and construction particles. They cleaned surfaces and hard-to-reach areas. Vacuuming reduced contamination before manual cleaning. It also prepared surfaces for detailed treatment.

The team used suitable equipment in elevated areas. This approach supported safe and efficient access.

Dusting and Wiping

After vacuuming, the team performed detailed dusting and wiping. They used microfibre cloths to capture dust effectively.

Cleaners worked from top to bottom. They followed a consistent horizontal wiping pattern. For difficult locations, the team used telescopic poles. These poles featured microfibre attachments for better reach.

The team collected debris in designated waste bags. They removed waste promptly to prevent recontamination.

Cleaning, Sanitation, and Rinsing

The team sanitised surfaces after removing dust and debris. They used environmentally responsible cleaning solutions.

They diluted cleaning concentrates according to recommended ratios. The team applied solutions using microfibre cloths. Regular cloth rinsing prevented streaks and residue. It also improved cleaning effectiveness. After sanitation, the team completed a final rinse. They used clean water for the final wipe-down. This process removed remaining residue. It also delivered a cleaner and more polished finish.

Quality Assurance Through Reporting and Validation

OCS maintained transparency throughout the project.

The team submitted daily progress and accomplishment reports. These reports kept the customer informed. The customer’s authorised representative reviewed completed areas. The representative also validated completed work regularly.

This approach supported accountability and alignment. It also provided visibility throughout project delivery.

The Result: A Customer-Recognised Standard of Work

The customer expressed satisfaction with the outcome. Recognising the professionalism of the OCS team. They praised the team’s attention to detail and workmanship and also expressed interest in future engagements.

In addition, they recommended OCS to other potential partners. The project demonstrated the value of disciplined execution.

Strong planning and quality controls drove successful results. Technical expertise also contributed to project success.
