OCS is Empowering Young People with Young Enterprise.

We pledged 400 hours to Young Enterprise, a charity dedicated to helping young people break down barriers to sustainable employment, but in just 7 months, we’ve delivered a whopping 870 hours—that’s 117.5% over our target!
Supporting people from all walks of life into gainful employment is something we are deeply committed to at OCS. Working with Young Enterprise gives us a crucial head start in providing that support from a young age. We’re incredibly inspired by Young Enterprise’s work and are thrilled and honoured to be part of it.

Did You Know?

OCS Processed 8,400 Tonnes of Laundry in Feltham in 2023.

At OCS’s Feltham site, 8,400 tonnes of laundry were washed in 2023, including 5,000 sets of headphones, processing over 50 million items. OCS has served British Airways and three other airlines for over 25 years.

OCS has made significant sustainability strides, such as reducing plastic usage on British Airways’ headphones by 50% with a banding machine, implementing water recycling with the aqua cycler, and using heat recovery systems to save energy.

OCS’s Green Revolution: Reducing Food Waste

We’ve implemented food waste biodigesters and composters at many customer sites to significantly reduce food waste. Our enhanced menus are not only delicious but also contribute to this achievement.

Additionally, some teams use worms to turn old vegetables into nutrient-rich fertiliser, which helps grow local produce that returns to our kitchens, ensuring fresh and sustainable meals. These initiatives are a big step towards our net zero goals, positively impacting the environment one meal at a time.
