Andy Robbins Promoted to Director of Security, Risk, and Resilience.

We are pleased to announce Andy Robbins’s promotion to the role of Director of Security, Risk, and Resilience for OCS UK & Ireland. In this key leadership position, Andy will shape and direct our strategic approach to security, ensuring robust protection and resilience for colleagues, customers, and communities.

With over a decade of experience at OCS and a distinguished 38-year career in security, Andy brings an exceptional depth of knowledge. His journey began in the police force, where he rose from constable to Detective Chief Inspector (DCI) and Senior Investigative Officer (SIO). Andy has managed complex security operations across public and private sectors, excelling in risk mitigation, threat assessments and crisis management. He has led security strategies for high-profile sites and events, working closely with government bodies and law enforcement agencies, earning him recognition as a trusted authority in security.

Andy will be instrumental in guiding our response to emerging security threats in his new role. He will ensure the business remains at the forefront of security innovation and fully aligned with regulatory changes, such as Martyn’s Law, which will set new security standards for publicly accessible locations. His leadership will be vital in maintaining the highest levels of compliance and operational excellence while influencing industry-wide policy and best practices.

A core focus of Andy’s role will be collaboration with our technology and security operations teams, driving the adoption of advanced technological solutions to enhance security frameworks. With technology increasingly critical to adequate security, Andy’s expertise in integrating physical and digital strategies will be vital to the continued success of our operations.

Andy’s remit also spans our Security, Private Sector, and Public Sector Facilities Management (FM) divisions, where he will provide strategic direction and proactive risk management. His role goes beyond day-to-day operations, strongly emphasising anticipating and mitigating risks before they materialise. Andy’s crisis management expertise will bolster our assurance to our colleagues, customers, and the broader community during critical incidents.
