OCS, SCTS and COPFS Sign Strategic Facilities Management Contract

OCS and the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (SCTS) have officially signed a contract reaffirming their long-standing partnership in delivering Total Facilities Management services across the SCTS estate.

Since 2011, OCS and SCTS have collaborated to ensure high-quality, efficient, and sustainable facilities management across 74 sites, including parts of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Office (COPFS), Scotland’s Prosecution Service. This latest contract underscores their continued commitment, supporting approximately 490 colleagues, including 40 based at the Supreme Court in Edinburgh, where the official signing ceremony took place.

Contract Details

The seven-year contract, with an option to extend for a further two years, covers a comprehensive range of services. These include cleaning, maintenance services, security, and project management, with a strong focus on social value, innovation, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement. This ensures the continued maintenance and enhancement of Scotland’s historic courts and tribunals estate.

A Landmark Occasion at the Supreme Court

The contract signing took place at the Supreme Court, Parliament House in Edinburgh on February 3, 2025, coinciding with the swearing-in of the Right Honourable Lord Pentland as Lord President and Lord Justice General—a significant event for Scotland’s justice system.
