Scotty’s Little Soldiers is a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people, 0 to 25 years, who have experienced the death of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. It was inspired by the lived experience of Nikki Scott, following the death of her husband, Corporal Lee Scott, in Afghanistan in 2009, when their two children were just 5 years old and 7 months old. Scotty’s now provides support and guidance to more than 700 bereaved military children and young people across the UK every year delivering significant social value. Scotty’s makes three promises to its members: access to the best emotional health and wellbeing support, outstanding development opportunities and the chance to smile again.
