Women’s Aid East and Midlothian (WAEML), is a charity that provides specialist, safe and confidential support, information, advocacy and refuge accommodation to women, children and young people who have been subjected to domestic abuse. WAEML is part of a national network of women’s aid organisations providing life-saving services, they support survivors and advocate for policy changes. Founded on feminist principles, they focus on eradicating violence against women and girls and empower survivors by keeping their voices central to their work.
