Marking 15 years of collective commitment to health and safety leadership

This week, OCS was formally recognised as one of the 54 remaining founding members of the Business Leaders’ Health and Safety Forum, at its 15th anniversary event at Parliament in Wellington.

OCS Australia & New Zealand Managing Director, Gareth Marriott, was on stage to receive the Certificate of Recognition on behalf of OCS from Hon Brooke van Velden, Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety.

“Being recognised as a founding member of the Business Leaders’ Health and Safety Forum is a proud moment for OCS. Strong, visible leadership is essential to creating safer, healthier workplaces and this recognition is a testament to the dedication of our colleagues – past and present – who champion health and safety in everything we do,” says Gareth.

The Forum is an organisation supporting CEOs and senior leaders to develop their health and safety leadership, with the aim to improve health, safety and wellbeing outcomes of New Zealand.

“Since 2010, we have been proud to stand alongside like-minded businesses and their CEOs – sharing experiences, exchanging insights, and leveraging our combined skills and influence to create safer and healthier workplaces across New Zealand,” says Forum Chief Executive Francois Barton.

Our longstanding involvement with the Forum reflects a shared belief among generations of leaders at OCS that commitments to thriving people and workplaces come from the top. They have invested time, focus and care to make sure health and safety is at the forefront of how they lead.

Thank you to everyone – past and present – who has contributed to this journey. Your efforts continue to make a real difference in how we work and how we care for each other.
