Colleagues across Aotearoa now have access to more than 50 discounts from well-known retailers and service providers through the newly launched OCS Discount App. The app expands on earlier initiatives such as reduced fuel and tyre costs and is one of the ways we’re recognising the hard work and dedication shown by our frontline and salaried colleagues throughout the year.
The discounts span food, technology, home essentials, wellbeing, travel and automotive services, with offers from brands such as Pita Pit, JB Hi-Fi, The Coffee Club, Specsavers and Torpedo7.
The launch comes as many people across the country continue to feel the impact of rising costs. Recent global workplace research shows that cost-of-living pressures are influencing how people in Australia and New Zealand feel about their quality of life and their day-to-day mahi. The same research highlights a clear link between wellbeing and engagement, with people who feel supported at work far more likely to thrive.
Managing Director Gareth Marriott says the app is another step in supporting colleagues through practical tools and savings.
“Many whānau are under pressure right now,” says Gareth. “While we can’t change the wider environment, we can take steps that make things a little easier. The fuel and tyre savings were the first part of that, and the new OCS Discount App continues the focus – offering real savings that colleagues can use straight away.
“The App will provide true savings for our colleagues. It’s one of the ways we put our TRUE Values into action and look after the people who look after us and our customers every day.”
Alongside the savings, the app brings together OCS updates and resources that colleagues use regularly, making key information easier to access wherever they are working across the country.
