Building Opportunity Through Safe and Welcoming Spaces for Young People
Safe, welcoming spaces can change what’s possible for young people facing homelessness or vulnerability. When a child has a place to learn, create and feel supported, it strengthens confidence, wellbeing and opportunity.
This is the focus of our Social Mobility commitment under the OCS Group ESG framework, creating access, fostering inclusion and supporting brighter futures in the communities where we operate.
What we did and the impact in practice
PCS Foundation’s Volunteer Army Project partnered with the Childline Thailand Foundation at The Hub in Bangkok, a vital support centre for homeless and at‑risk youth, to support a classroom renovation and hand‑over.
The refreshed learning space was designed to be more functional, welcoming and uplifting, giving young people a better environment for learning and self‑expression.
Alongside the renovation hand‑over, our volunteers spent time with the young people through shared activities including drawing and conversations. We believe these moments matter because lasting impact is built not only through improvements to physical space but also connection, consistency and care.
How this supports our ESG priorities
This initiative supports Social Mobility by helping to:
- Increase access to safe, supportive learning environments
- Encourage inclusion and a sense of belonging
- Strengthen community partnerships that can continue supporting young people over time
