OCS Honoured with Two Wins at BSCNZ CleanSweep™ Awards

OCS New Zealand is celebrating double wins at this year’s BSCNZ CleanSweep™ Awards, recognising our commitment to creating welcoming and well-maintained environments in communities across Aotearoa.

Last night, our teams were awarded in both the Transport Terminals and Local Conveniences categories, reflecting their dedication to making public spaces the best they can be.

In the Transport Terminals category, our Taranaki team were recognised for their outstanding work at New Plymouth Airport. Since the new terminal’s opening in 2020, the team has provided comprehensive cleaning services, adapting their approach to keep up with the airport’s modern facilities.

Contract Supervisor Rose Hoeta credits the win to the team’s commitment and ability to adapt quickly, ensuring the terminal always meets high standards of cleanliness and comfort.

“Our team is here every day, ready to provide the best service for everyone who passes through the airport. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our team.”

The Local Conveniences award went to Nelson’s much-loved Superloo. Managed by Estelle Courtney, the Superloo has become more than just a public toilet; it’s a community hub that welcomes visitors with its clean and thoughtfully maintained amenities, including a laundry area, family room, showers and toilets.

Estelle’s extra touches, including fresh flowers and seasonal decorations, have made the Superloo a cherished part of Nelson’s city centre.

“It’s wonderful to see our work recognised, and I’m so grateful for the positive feedback from the community. We want everyone who visits to feel comfortable and cared for.”

These awards are especially meaningful to us, as they reflect our commitment to our TRUE values (Trust, Respect, Unity, and Empowerment) in the communities where we work and live. We were also pleased to be recognised as finalists for two additional customer sites: Buller High School and North Waikato’s public toilets.

This achievement reflects the efforts of our colleagues who put people and communities at the heart of everything they do. We are incredibly proud of the positive impact they create through their commitment and care.

Congratulations to all involved in these successes!
