1M, part of the OCS New Zealand group, has won the Excellence in Strategy category at the 2025 Auckland Business Awards (Central), recognising the company’s disciplined approach to growth, investment in people, and commitment to long-term customer value.
The award reflects 1M’s transformation over 2024 – a period that saw significant revenue growth, digital capability upgrades, expanded energy services, and a deepened focus on sustainability. From building stronger teams and modernising systems to entering new markets, the company has consistently aligned its operational decisions with a clear, customer-led strategy.
The judges praised 1M’s clear strategic direction, decisive action, and measurable impact across its operations. As MC Kate Rodger noted about all of the award winners:

Tonight’s a reminder that your success is not just your own. Since joining the OCS New Zealand group in 2021, 1M has grown its revenue by over 60% to the end of 2024, doubled down on self-delivery, and introduced a dedicated energy management offering to support customer emissions reduction goals. It also achieved four ISO certifications, implemented new digital platforms for job management and analytics, and opened a new regional office in Wellington.
