When social enterprise Abilities Group lost its main recycling facility to fire, the priority was to restore operations and continue providing employment for dozens of people with disabilities.
OCS New Zealand’s WasteLine team supported this effort by transporting donated materials and helping Abilities reopen services at three temporary sites across Auckland.
The partnership spans more than 10 years, particularly in e-waste recycling, supporting customer waste streams while contributing to local employment.
Chris Wood, National WasteLine Solutions Manager, said it was fantastic to see resilience in action with businesses and communities coming together to get the social enterprise up and running again.
