Excitement Mounts for CleanSweep Awards

OCS New Zealand is proud to celebrate our colleagues’ dedication and community-focused service, as multiple sites are recognised as finalists at the prestigious BSCNZ CleanSweep™ Awards.

This annual event celebrates excellence across Aotearoa New Zealand’s commercial cleaning industry, acknowledging the hard work and passion of those who keep our spaces clean, safe, and welcoming.

In the Local Conveniences category, North Waikato’s public toilets, managed by Area Manager Nola Colebourn, have earned finalist status. Known for her unique floral touches, Nola ensures these spaces not only meet high hygiene standards but also brighten visitors’ days with fresh blooms, leaving a lasting, positive impression.

In Nelson, the Superloo stands out as an awards contender in the same category. Managed by Estelle Courtney, the Superloo has become a cherished community hub, offering family facilities, a laundry, and a warm, welcoming environment. Estelle’s commitment to creating a comfortable space for all, including a play area for children and seasonal decorations, has made the Superloo a local favourite.

We’re also celebrated for our longstanding partnership with Buller High School, a finalist in the Education category. This enduring relationship spans over two decades, with OCS maintaining a safe and clean environment for students and staff, including a swift response during the 2021 Westport flood crisis. Our team’s commitment to excellence has supported teaching and learning, building trust and reliability over the years.

Finally, New Plymouth Airport has been awarded for its outstanding cleaning solutions in the Transport Terminals category. The OCS Taranaki team, led by Contract Supervisor Rose Heota, has demonstrated adaptability and innovation, ensuring the terminal remains pristine and welcoming for travellers.

These nominations reflect our commitment to excellence, care, and community service across Aotearoa. Congratulations to all teams – we wish you the best of luck at the awards tomorrow night!
