TRUE Stars are individuals or teams who have gone above and beyond and have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the OCS TRUE Values: Trust, Respect, Unity and Empowerment.
The efforts of those recognised as TRUE Stars not only set a benchmark for excellence, but also inspire others to be their best, driving our organisation forwards as we strive to become the best facilities services company in the world, making people and places the best they can be for our colleagues, our customers and communities.

Robbie Cooke

At our site we are a security guard down due to long-term illness. Robbie has stepped in to cover over 50 of the shifts that have needed covering, selflessly sacrificing his time off to put the security team and the needs of the customer before his own.

One of our customers would like to nominate Graham Chisholm for a True Star award due to his tremendous work. The Site at Bath Southgate has recently undergone an update on the car park prices at the site and Graham has dealt with all enquiries through the OCS Control Room in a constructive and positive way whilst being very informative to the Car Parking Team in ensuring any issues were rectified quickly so the customer experience of the Centre was upheld. In general Graham has a positive manner when dealing with Customers an all Visitors and the Client would like Graham to receive the recognition he deserves.

Sam has recently joined the team and has made an immediate impact. He has significantly boosted team morale during a time of considerable changes. Sam has assisted the ESMs and the residential team in scheduling various overdue tasks and inspections, all while maintaining a positive attitude and a smile on his face. He is truly a joy to work with and deserves recognition for all of his accomplishments so far.
Larissa Fletcher

While sat with my team, I heard Larissa on the phone to one of our suppliers and it was evident that the person she was speaking to was getting quite worked up. Larissa remained very calm and worked to find aresolution to the issue. The situation was eventually diffused thanks to Larisa’s effort, she showed amazing professionalism as not once did she raise her voice or show any signs of frustration throughout the call, I don’t know many people that wouldn’t have reacted negatively in that situation but it was definitely a situation that I will learn from and try to act more like Larissa next time I am confronted in that way. While on the call Larissa remained very calm but you could see afterwards that it had an effect on her and some time out to regain her composure, and understandably so. It is a reminder of the hard work that our helpdesk colleagues carry out everyday that the wider contract teams don’t always see or take into account. No one should have to put up with behaviour like this at work but the professionalism and respect shown was brilliant to see.
Edward Moon
Edward found a man and his dog sitting in the middle of the main line track. He tried to get the man to come away from the track but he refused, so Edward stayed with him and talked to him. When an oncoming train was approaching, Edward performed an emergency stop and involved the BTP, thus potentially saving the man’s life.
Sylvia Katic
Sylvia, who joined us in 2015, is a colleague who goes the extra mile by volunteering as a Mental Health First Aider & Wellbeing Champion.
Innocent Oriaku
Innocent has been an OCS colleague for 18 years and is a tremendous asset to our colleagues and our customers.
