Larissa Fletcher

  • Respect

While sat with my team, I heard Larissa on the phone to one of our suppliers and it was evident that the person she was speaking to was getting quite worked up. Larissa remained very calm and worked to find aresolution to the issue. The situation was eventually diffused thanks to Larisa’s effort, she showed amazing professionalism as not once did she raise her voice or show any signs of frustration throughout the call, I don’t know many people that wouldn’t have reacted negatively in that situation but it was definitely a situation that I will learn from and try to act more like Larissa next time I am confronted in that way. While on the call Larissa remained very calm but you could see afterwards that it had an effect on her and some time out to regain her composure, and understandably so. It is a reminder of the hard work that our helpdesk colleagues carry out everyday that the wider contract teams don’t always see or take into account. No one should have to put up with behaviour like this at work but the professionalism and respect shown was brilliant to see.

Edward Moon

Edward found a man and his dog sitting in the middle of the main line track. He tried to get the man to come away from the track but he refused, so Edward stayed with him and talked to him. When an oncoming train was approaching, Edward performed an emergency stop and involved the BTP, thus potentially saving the man’s life.

Security Team

  • Trust

Feedback from parents of a customer who visited the centre…… Hi, Can you please pass this onto your security team who were working on Sunday afternoon the 5th October. Our son Jack, who has epilepsy, had a huge seizure whilst shopping with his carers. They said the security staff helped them enormously. His seizures can last quiet a while and he is very noisy during them, so the security staff put screens around him and his carers to given him privacy and protect his dignity. When he came round, they the got him a wheelchair so they could get jack safely back to his car. The support staff with Jack said the security staff’s help was invaluable during a very stressful time. Even though Jack is 34, with his epilepsy and his learning disabilities, as parents we always worry but this reassures us that there are kind people out there. Please pass onto the team our huge thanks. Keep up the amazing work! Kind regards Clare and Ged McGauley

Christopher Campbell

  • Respect
  • Unity
  • Empowerment

Chris is an exemplary member of the team and nothing is too much hassle for him even though he is so extremely busy. Recently we had a visit from an auditor who required information from the technical team, Chris made himself available and has worked tirelessly to gather all the documentation the auditor required. Chris is the main cog in the machine in the team and he really could do with some form of recognition for his efforts of late; he’s just fabulous!

LINE A PRM Southampton airport

  • Trust
  • Respect
  • Unity
  • Empowerment

I am proud to nominate the LINE A Team – Southampton airport for a commendation in recognition of their exceptional response and life-saving actions during a recent medical emergency at the airport. On 4th October 2025, a passenger experienced a critical health incident requiring immediate medical intervention, a heart attack. Without hesitation, members of the team sprang into action, demonstrating calm professionalism, swift coordination, and expert application of first aid procedures, chest compressions and mouth to mouth. Their ability to assess the situation, administer essential life-saving care, and support emergency services was instrumental in stabilizing the passenger and ensuring their safe transfer to further medical care. The paramedics arriving at the scene have been very grateful for all the help provided and reiterated the fact that the first aid offered by the OCS team was lifesaving. This incident highlights not only their technical competence but also their compassion, teamwork, and dedication to public safety. Their actions reflect the highest standards of service and responsibility, and they exemplify the values we strive to uphold in our airport community. I wholeheartedly recommend this team for an award in recognition of their bravery, skill, and outstanding contribution to saving a life. Their efforts deserve to be celebrated and serve as an inspiring example to others.
