Project Brief
The London 2012 Olympic Village infrastructure was central to preparing for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, which required the development of a residential community on an unprecedented scale in the UK. The Olympic Village needed to accommodate 17,000 athletes and officials, supported by reliable building systems operating continuously. Delivery had to meet strict deadlines openly scrutinised.
The requirement was clear: deliver a fully integrated estate-wide system connecting vital building technologies across residential plots, communal areas, and utilities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and flexibility for post-Games legacy use.
