This August, OCS’s CHROMA’s Race, Ethnicity and Faith Network is proud to support Pecan, a South London charity helping people through some of life’s toughest challenges, from food poverty and unemployment to navigating life after prison.
As we approach the International Day of Charity on September 5th, we invite people to participate in a simple yet powerful act of kindness.
How You Can Help
Pecan’s Amazon wish list is full of essential items, some starting from under 50p, that go directly to individuals and families in need. It’s quick and easy to donate:
- Click the link here.
- Choose an item (or two!) from the list
- Check out! The delivery address is pre-filled, so your donation goes straight to Pecan
OCS and Pecan: A Growing Partnership
This campaign builds on OCS’s ongoing support for Pecan and the communities it serves:
- Last year, OCS colleagues ran The Big Half 2024, raising funds for Pecan’s vital work in South London. Their efforts helped shine a light on the charity’s mission and the people it supports.
- OCS also recently installed a new security system at the Peckham Food Bank, operated by Pecan, helping to protect its staff, volunteers, and visitors while ensuring the safe distribution of food and essentials.
These initiatives reflect our shared commitment to community care, and we’re proud to continue that support through CHROMA’s kindness campaign.
Every Item Makes a Difference
Whether it’s toiletries, food staples, or household essentials, your donation helps someone facing hardship. This campaign runs through August; our support for Pecan remains ongoing throughout the year.
Thank you for being part of this. Let’s spread kindness together.
