In 2024, we maintained Toitū Net Carbon Zero certification, reduced gross emissions by 17% (compared to 2023), and strengthened colleague wellbeing, leadership development, and community engagement across Australia.

Environmental

We’re working towards net zero by 2040. In 2024, we reduced emissions by 7% (from baseline) and continued improving waste, energy and fleet performance.

  • Focus Area: Fleet

    Electric and hybrid vehicles now make up 5% of our Australian fleet. Fuel emissions increased by 8% (compared to 2023) due to growth.

  • Focus Area: Electricity Consumption

    Electricity emissions grew by 3% (compared to 2023). We continue working towards our 2030 goal of 100% renewable energy across all offices.

  • Focus Area: Supply Chain

    Scope 3 emissions decreased by 57% (from baseline) through improved data, smarter procurement, and stronger engagement with suppliers on sustainability.

  • Focus Area: Business Travel

    Business travel emissions fell by 54% (compared to 2023) through fewer inter-regional trips, postponement of our conference, and greater uptake of virtual meetings across our teams.

    Achieved a 86% (from baseline) reduction in landfill waste through improved waste separation, reporting accuracy, and expanded recycling opportunities on site.

OCS Australia continues to prioritise inclusion, wellbeing, and safety — creating practical pathways for our people and communities to thrive.

    Reported a 12.6% gender pay gap, introduced a Diversity & Inclusion Policy, and enabled pronouns in email signatures.

Strong governance is central to how we operate — supported by regular reviews, ISO certification, clear oversight, and ongoing compliance training.

    Completed risk reviews across all business units and renewed ISO certifications, including new certification for information security (ISO 27001).

  • Focus Area: Ethical Practices & Integrity

    Delivered anti-bribery training to salaried employees and strengthened modern slavery controls through supplier due diligence and updated training tools.

  • Focus Area: Leadership Development

    Leadership development framework remains a 2025 priority after limited progress in 2024 towards pipeline and 360-degree feedback implementation.
