OCS Recognised at Esker Customer Day as Finance Director Wins Advocate of the Year Award

Members of our finance team attended the Esker Customer Day in Auckland last week, hosted by FUJIFILM Process Automation. The event brought together organisations focused on improving financial processes, sharing practical experience, and discussing how automation is shaping the future of finance across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia.

During the event, Esker and FUJIFILM presented their annual Impact Awards, with a highlight being the awarding of the Advocate of the Year to Debby Wong, OCS Finance Director. The recognition reflects Debby’s long-standing support of FUJIFILM and Esker since the beginning of our automation journey, and her willingness to share OCS’s experience with others across the sector.

“Our customers depend on clear, accurate financial information, and that’s shaped every part of our automation journey,” said Debby. “Sharing our experience is another way we can support the wider finance community. I’m accepting this award on behalf of a team that has worked steadily to improve the way information flows for colleagues and customers across the region.”

Irene Direnko-Smith, Head of Process Automation, FUJIFILM Business Innovation NZ (FBNZ) said Debby has been a strong supporter of FUJIFILM and Esker since the beginning of OCS’s automation journey.

“Most recently, Debby shared her experience in front of hundreds of finance leaders at the CFO Summit, inspiring peers with her story. Her team has also worked closely with FBNZ to publish media releases and case studies, helping to showcase New Zealand’s automation successes in the marketplace. From all of us at FBNZ, thank you for your support, Debby.”

Debby attended the event alongside Beckett Yang (Reporting Manager), Henry Wei (Business Partner), and Chetan Mistry (Junior Business Analyst) – who was named a finalist in the Source-to-Pay: Biggest Champion category.

The day was an opportunity to reflect on the work completed so far and the benefits already emerging from clearer workflows, reduced manual steps, and more consistent processes across the region. For customers and procurement teams, this supports stronger audit trails and greater confidence in the information they receive.

Our finance and procurement teams will continue refining the systems that sit behind these improvements as part of our long-term commitment to delivering clear, consistent and reliable financial processes across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
