OCS Delivers Security Solutions for EPC Meeting at Blenheim Palace

We are delighted to announce our successful provision of comprehensive security services at the European Political Community (EPC) meeting on July 18, 2024, held at Blenheim Palace.

Hosted by the newly elected Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the EPC meeting gathered around 50 European leaders to address common challenges such as the situation in Ukraine and illegal migration.

Our security measures for the event were extensive, including manned guarding, access control, patrols, security system installations, and airport-style security scanning. Notably, we set up seven airport-style security scanning lanes, along with 80 static CCTV cameras, two control rooms with video walls, 60 WASP systems, 30 rapid deployment CCTV towers, 24/7 onsite support, and a communications network with radios and base stations.

Since its inception in October 2022, this was the fourth EPC meeting. Previous summits have played a crucial role in uniting Europe against aggression, fostering cooperation on energy security, and addressing immigration crime. The UK-hosted meeting was particularly significant in rallying support for Ukraine as the conflict is expected to escalate in the summer.

The leader-level meeting took place at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace and ancestral home of former Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill.

The EPC’s flexible format allows for both continent-wide discussions and bilateral or group meetings. The UK will support this flexibility and consult with partners on their needs in the coming period.
