OCS has won the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (Large) award at Alstom‘s annual UK and Ireland Supplier Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards, held at Pride Park Stadium in Derby. The award recognises OCS’s organisation-wide commitment to diversity, equal opportunity and colleague wellbeing.
The ceremony formed part of Alstom’s annual Supplier Day, attended by more than 200 stakeholders from across the UK rail industry. Nine awards were presented across social value categories aligned to the UK Government’s Social Value Model.
What the Award Recognises
Judged from more than 100 nominations across Alstom’s UK and Ireland supply chain, the award highlighted OCS’s equal opportunity policies, monthly monitoring of colleague demographics and job applicant data, and a dedicated recruitment function focused on attracting talent from underrepresented groups.
OCS holds Disability Confident Employer status, hosts supported internships and offers a guaranteed interview scheme for suitably qualified applicants. The company reported a zero median gender pay gap in 2024/25 and actively supports colleagues in the manifestation of faith at work.
A Partnership Since 2019
OCS has partnered with Alstom since 2019, delivering integrated facilities management services across the company’s UK and Ireland operations, covering the length and breadth of England and Scotland. More than 700 OCS colleagues are employed across the partnership.
“Winning this award reflects the work our colleagues do every day to make inclusion a reality, not just a policy. In transport, we serve a diverse range of environments and communities, and that’s only possible if our workforce reflects that same diversity. Recognition from a partner of Alstom’s standing reinforces that our approach is the right one and gives our teams real reason to be proud.”
Sector Managing Director, Transport, OCS UK & Ireland
“OCS Group’s recognition in our 2026 Supplier CSR Awards reflects a genuine commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace. Their focus on diversity, equal opportunity and employee wellbeing demonstrates the kind of partnership we value at Alstom as we work together to build a more responsible, resilient and people-centred supply chain.”
