OCS to Deliver Integrated National Security Services for Morrisons across the UK

A Decade Long Partnership Strengthened Nationwide

Morrisons has appointed OCS in the UK to deliver security services across its nationwide estate, including retail stores, logistics centres, and manufacturing sites. The agreement builds on a partnership spanning more than ten years and reflects a shared focus on safety, consistency, and long-term resilience. 

Under the new contract, OCS will deliver an integrated, end-to-end security service across all Morrisons locations. More than 1,000 colleagues will transfer to OCS as part of the mobilisation, forming a single national workforce aligned to shared standards and operating practices. The contract will also create over 200 additional roles, supporting employment opportunities and skills development across the UK. 

A Nationally Coordinated, Intelligence Led Service

The security model brings together local expertise with national oversight to support clearer decision-making and faster responses. OCS will operate a centrally coordinated, intelligence-led approach that integrates live data, analytics, and on-the-ground insight. This structure improves visibility of risk across the estate and delivers a consistent experience for colleagues and customers.

Over the next three years, OCS and Morrisons will continue to develop the model, with planned enhancements including the phased introduction of AI-enabled analytics, body-worn technology, and improved digital reporting tools. These developments are designed to strengthen safety, improve service consistency, and support efficient operations, with technology enabling colleagues to perform their roles more effectively.

Creating Opportunity Through People and Social Value

Alongside operational delivery, the contract reflects a shared commitment to social value and colleague development. Through established learning and development pathways, including the People into Work programme, OCS will support individuals facing barriers to employment into sustainable careers in security. 

New and transferring colleagues will receive focused training, access to professional accreditation, and wellbeing support, helping to build long-term capability within the retail security sector while supporting inclusive employment across local communities.
