Building on 125 years of practical progress

In 2025, OCS marked 125 years since a one-man window cleaning round in London grew into a global facilities services business. It was an opportunity to reflect not only on how the business has evolved, but on the importance of continuing to adapt, strengthen and invest for the future.

That same philosophy sits behind the 2025 OCS Australia and New Zealand ESG Report.

The report brings together independently verified environmental data with stories from across the business, demonstrating how environmental responsibility, social impact and good governance are being delivered through practical action every day.

Across Australia, environmental performance continued to improve through ongoing investment in lower-emission operations, improved data quality and strengthened emissions reporting. OCS Australia successfully maintained Toitū Net Carbon Zero certification following recertification, while continuing to align its emissions reduction programme with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) principles and long-term net zero commitments.

The report also highlights progress across people and culture. During 2025, OCS Australia and Midcity achieved Great Place to Work® certification, recognising the workplace experience created by colleagues across the business. Investment also continued in leadership development, succession planning and community initiatives, including partnerships with organisations such as Wheelchairs for Kids, The Salvation Army, Jetz Netball Club and Futboltec Graduates.

Strong governance remains central to the way OCS operates. During the year, supplier due diligence continued to mature through strengthened modern slavery processes, enhanced onboarding requirements and ongoing improvements to reporting, compliance and business systems. These initiatives help customers meet increasingly robust ESG and procurement expectations while strengthening transparency across the supply chain.

Managing Director Gareth Marriott says the report reflects the practical decisions colleagues make every day.

“Real progress isn’t built through headline moments. It’s built through thousands of practical decisions made every day by people who care about doing the job well, supporting one another and delivering for our customers.

“The report captures the progress we’ve made during 2025, but it also reflects the way we approach our business every day. Whether it’s strengthening governance, supporting our people or reducing our environmental impact, the focus remains on building a business that customers can trust for the long term.”

The 2025 OCS Australia and New Zealand ESG Report provides an overview of the progress made during the year and the priorities that will continue to strengthen the business into the future.
