Governance

Strengthening governance through accountability, transparency and responsible decision-making that supports customers, colleagues and communities.

Strong Governance Supports Better Decisions

Governance is embedded across how OCS operates, from frontline service delivery through to strategic decision-making. It provides the framework for managing risk, maintaining accountability and ensuring consistent standards across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our approach combines clear policies, independent certification, strong leadership oversight and robust reporting processes. Together, these systems help ensure we meet regulatory requirements, protect information, support ethical business practices and maintain the trust of customers, colleagues and communities.

Governance is also about continuous improvement. As customer expectations, reporting requirements and industry standards evolve, we continue strengthening the systems and processes that support responsible, transparent and well-managed operations.

Governance Priorities

Strong governance helps ensure decisions are made responsibly, risks are managed effectively and standards remain consistent across the business. Our focus is on accountability, transparency and maintaining the systems that support long-term performance.

  • Structured governance frameworks help identify, manage and monitor operational, financial and compliance risks across our business and customer environments.

  • Independent audits and internationally recognised certifications provide assurance that systems, processes and reporting meet established standards.

  • We continue strengthening supplier oversight and due diligence processes to identify, assess and respond to modern slavery risks.

  • Clear expectations, supplier onboarding and ongoing assessments support ethical, safe and sustainable practices throughout our supply chain.

  • Leadership development, succession planning and independent advisory oversight help strengthen accountability and support informed decision-making.

Modern Slavery and Human Rights

Respect for human rights is fundamental to how we operate. As a business with a large workforce and extensive supplier network, we recognise that modern slavery risks can exist within global supply chains, including industries connected to facilities services.

Working alongside Fair Supply, we continue to strengthen supplier due diligence, risk assessment and contractor onboarding processes across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. During 2025, more than 600 suppliers were assessed, helping us focus attention on higher-risk areas and strengthen oversight across our supply chain.

This work forms part of our broader commitment to ethical business practices, responsible procurement and treating people fairly, safely and with dignity.

Governance

Governance Supporting Long-Term Performance

During 2025, OCS Australia and New Zealand maintained key certifications, strengthened supplier governance processes and continued improving ESG reporting across the business. Additional focus was placed on modern slavery due diligence, leadership development and maintaining the systems that support effective risk management and compliance.

Building Confidence Through Independent Oversight

Independent certifications, annual audits and external advisory input provide confidence that governance systems remain effective and fit for purpose. These frameworks support transparency, strengthen accountability and help ensure customers can rely on accurate reporting, robust controls and consistent operational standards.
